Now that you understand the AWP Experience and what makes it stand out from other senior picture experiences, let’s talk about why it is so much more than what our parents are used to. Let’s be honest, most of our parents had one headshot done for the yearbook or maybe went to a studio to get a couple photos taken to hang up around the house, and the AWP Experience seems like so much compared to that. So why do I do it this way?

You put in a lot of hard work!

Your high school graduation is 5 years of preparation and 12 years of education wrapped up in one piece of paper. That piece of paper symbolizes your entire life leading up to this point. That’s really important, and worth capturing! This is a major life event, just like getting married or buying your first home. These are all experiences that you want to remember and look back on.

Your loved ones will thank you!

One day, all that will be left of you and me are memories and photographs. Many of you know that my grandmother recently passed away, and I didn’t get any photos of her alone at our last family photoshoot. I’m extra thankful now that between my uncle and I, we did get a lot of solo shots of her throughout these past few years. Looking back on photos really helps me and my family still feel close to her now that she is no longer with us, and we definitely love to see photos from when she was younger as well!

Enter adulthood with more confidence!

Being in front of the camera is definitely a scary experience if you aren’t used to it, but luckily, I know that first hand (I’m used to being behind the camera!), and I want to make sure you know exactly how great you look in each shot! Adulthood is filled with a lot of new things, and doing new things can feel really weird, but posing for the camera can feel weird as well, and seeing your finished products will assure you that even when things may feel strange or new, you look great doing it.
