Kyle is a local actor, singer, and dancer with big dreams and killer flexibility. During his headshot session in the studio, we definitely had a lot of fun trying out different poses and getting some unique pictures for his acting portfolio. Working with him was such a treat!
Kyle’s first outfit was this casual look which included a short-sleeved button up shirt. I think this is a good standard headshot that he can use for multiple auditions, but it also works to give a “boy next door” feel.
We then started to move into more interesting poses with Kyle’s long-sleeved gray button up shirt and dress pants. To me, this photo looks like it could be on the back of a book!
I also love how something as simple as hand placement affects a photo so much. This would give a completely different vibe if his hand were in a fist or if both his hands were on his leg.
We also grabbed a headshot against the gray wall with this outfit. This exact location is my favorite spot in the studio for headshots right now! The shadows hit perfectly, and it gives a depth to the entire photo which makes the subject stand out even more.
Another thing I love about this picture is that it’s a good standard headshot that can be used for business resumes, as well as auditions. Kyle currently works in the accounting world and has a real brain for numbers, which means he can use this photo for both of his passions!
If you didn’t know, Kyle is a self-taught dancer, and he’s pretty darn good at it! He asked if we could photograph some of his tricks, and I’m not sure what I was expecting, but he pulled out all the stops! This photo in particular is giving “editorial dance magazine.” He’s so relaxed in the pose, giving a nice contrast to his professional attire. It also makes this a perfect photo for him to have in his audition portfolio!
Rounding out our session, we got some floor work in with this pose. Again, he makes it look so easy!
Overall, I loved getting to know Kyle more and showcase his skills on camera!
