Hey everyone, it’s Ru here again! Today is my birthday, so I want to tell you about my birthday shoot! The day started off with hair and makeup with Jordy. I came in with basically no idea what I wanted, and she totally nailed it! I told Jordy “give me something blue, and I trust you with the rest,” and that was such a good decision! She gave me a bold blue look that I loved and did not want to take off at the end of the day! I was also really excited that my hair is finally long enough for her to do something with. The last time Jordy did my makeup, my hair was too short to curl or style, but I love how my hair turned out for this shoot!

We started the photo shoot at the studio, and I chose the pink backdrop. When I walked in, Ashley immediately loved my makeup and hair! I started out in a sparkly dress that I have for New Year’s parties and black strappy heels.

I knew I wanted to bring so many stuffed animals along with me and include them in the shoot, but these ended up way better than I could have imagined!

These stuffed organs are so fun and personal to me. I had my appendix out when I was 6, and when I was 20 I had surgery on my lungs to help fix a heart condition and lung damage, so all these organs represent life-saving surgeries that allow me to be here today!

I changed into a blue dress with one sleeve and sparkly silver heels and we headed to the library. I love this wall outside the library, but always forget that it’s there!

After the library, we headed out to the Depot. Even though it was pretty cold outside, I think the Depot is so beautiful and just had to stand in the little windy pocket.

Next, we headed to Buffalo Block and I changed into a black dress with tall black boots. I loved the all black outfit with the brick in the background!

Last but certainly not least, we crossed the street and went to the Pub Station. I had so much fun at this location!

My photoshoot with Ashley was so fun! I can’t wait for the next one!
