Hi everyone! It’s Ru here and I’m so excited for today’s blog. I’m going to tell you about my trip to the Ballagio in Las Vegas this Christmas with my family. My mom, my brother, and I all live in different states so it’s been a while since we have all gotten together and been able to go do something!
My trip was really quick, but still really fun. I flew into Vegas on Christmas Eve with my grandparents. We got in around 7:30 pm. My mom got in earlier that day, so she was already there when I arrived! Catching up with everybody at dinner was so fun, and I got to see a lot of my cousins that I don’t see very often! On Christmas morning, we ate breakfast and opened presents. Then that night, we headed out to the Ballagio.
We knew we wanted to get family pictures while everyone was in Vegas, so I tried to convince Ashley to come with me! Unfortunately, she had already planned to be in California. My mom and I got matching shirts from Target anyway! When we were leaving the house, my brother mentioned that it was going to take about 40 minutes to get there so there must have been an accident. My mom, my brother, one of my cousins, and I all rode in the same car and it definitely took us longer than usual to get to the Ballagio, but it took much longer than 40 minutes! We left at 5:15, and around 7:15, my cousin and I left the car and got Starbucks, looked at the fountains, and wandered through the gardens before returning when my brother and mom got the bottom of the parking garage around 8:40.
We finally parked at 8:45 which was three and a half hours after we left the house! We walked through the gardens again with my mom and brother, and took some family photos while we were there! We ended up leaving at about 9:15 and it only took us about 15 minutes to get back home. Even though it took us so long to get there, it was definitely worth it to get some good pictures as a family! Should I take Ashley on my next family vacation?
I knew I would be leaving the next morning, so I got a little bit more quality time in before going to bed, then got ready to leave at 4:15 to make my flight on time. I had a great time in Vegas, but next time I’ll definitely make sure to stay longer!
